Enhanced Security for Shared Branching Visits

At Centric Federal Credit Union, keeping your account safe is our top priority. With account takeover fraud on the rise, we’ve added a new identity verification step when visiting Centric locations or any of our Shared Branch partner locations.

This added layer of protection ensures it’s really you—not someone pretending to be you—accessing your account.

ID Verification for Out-of-State IDs

If you’re visiting a Shared Branch location and presenting an out-of-state ID, you will be asked to verify your identity using a secure, multi-factor process that includes:

A QR code scan
A one-time passcode
Photo ID upload and selfie verification

This process will be used for certain transactions—including cash withdrawals—to better protect your account from fraud.

How It Works

Scan the QR code posted inside the branch or visit verify.coop.org.
Select Centric Federal Credit Union from the drop-down list.
Enter your member number and the last four digits of your Social Security number.
Upload a clear photo of your ID.
Take a selfie to match your ID photo.
Show your one-time passcode to the teller (valid for 20 minutes).
